1. Hand Sanitizer- a. Duh! It's in the name! 🤣
b. It's flammable! You get
idea.
2. Duct Tape- a. Piece together a temporarily
shelter with a trash bag or
Tarp.
b. Fix leaky hoses
c. A quick bandage
3. Aluminum Foil- a. Seed Starting: Line a box
with foil & poke holes in
the bottom. Fill 1/2 way
with soil. Plant seed &
add water. Foil helps warm
the soil when placed in
a sunny window sill.
b. Sharpen scissors: Simply
cut foil as you would
paper.
4. Chapstick- a. Obviously for dry, cracked lips.
b. Stop small cuts from bleeding.
c. Prevent chafing.
5. Baking Soda- a. Clean fruits and vegetables:
Spinkle on a damp sponge.
Wipe food & rinse.
b. Brush your teeth 😬! I can
explain! Mix baking soda
with coconut oil, sweetener,
& mint extract to form a paste.
6. Zipties- a. Attach gear to your bug-out-bag.
b Secure a splint
c. Hang things for space saving.
7. Salt- a. Obviously for seasoning food.
b. Cleaning cast iron. Salt, a little water,
scrub scrub scrub!
c. Curing meats.
d. Stopping ants: Sprinkle salt wherever ants
might come in. Ants won't walk over salt.
(Garlic powder also works)
8. Shoestrings- a. Temporary cordage.
b. Temporary fishing line.
9. Ponchos- a. Collect rain water.
b. Drag heavy objects.
10. Borax- a. Clean toilets.
b. Clean mold & mildew: 1 cup borax to 1 qt.
water. Spray on mold/mildew. Let sit a few
hours. Rinse.
